Patricia Rivera, a content strategist and brand storyteller for changemakers, helps organizations build their brands in print, digital and multiple languages. As founder of Hook PR & Marketing, she leads a team of multicultural communicators to develop campaigns that honor the depth and diversity of humankind and support organizations focused on social good.
Patricia began her career as a storyteller and print journalist, working at The New York Times, The News Journal and The Dallas Morning News. In 2007, she transitioned to marketing and started Hook.
Recent awards include: 2018 Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year Award from New Castle County Chamber of Commerce; 2019 Delaware Minority-Owned Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration; and 2020 Delaware Today Women in Business honoree Patricia, a native of Bolivia, fervently supports entrepreneurship among immigrants. She has served on boards of the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement, La Plaza Delaware, La Esperanza, Local Journalism Initiative and the Delaware Hispanic Commission.
The University of Tennessee graduate lives in Lewes, Delaware.
